- 略歴
幕末～明治の画家。下総生。古河藩士の子。名は洞郁、字は陳之、号は周麿・狂斎・是空道人・惺々斎等。歌川国芳に浮世絵を、のち狩野洞白に狩野派を学び、その他あらゆる画風を取り入れて、独自の画風を確立した。仏画から風刺画まで多様なジャンルを縦横無尽に描き尽くした。明治22年（1889）歿、59歳。
