- 略歴
江戸前期の狩野派の絵師。幼名は三位。通称は右近・中務卿。号は養朴・古川等。木挽町狩野家の祖、尚信の子。木挽町狩野家二代。父の歿後、叔父探幽にも画を学び、幕府の奥絵師として活躍。のち法印に叙せられた。古画学習に努め、鑑定した古画の控え等が『常信縮図』として残る。正徳3年（1713）歿、78歳。

- The painter Kanō Tsunenobu（1636–1713）was the 2nd head of the Kano school’s Kobikichō family in Edo. He studied under his father Naonobu and his uncle Tan'yū. Tsunenobu worked for the Edo shogunate.
