略歴: 江戸後期の画家。名は湖秀。唐絵目利の広渡家を継いだのち京都で柏木如亭と親交を結び、江戸に住した。南蘋風の花鳥画や文人画風の作品を手掛けた。文政3年（1820）歿、55歳。東京の西應寺に大窪詩仏・市河米庵による墓碑が現存している。
