- 略歴
明治～昭和の日本画家。和歌山生。名は晴三郎。東京美術学校（現東京芸大）卒。狩野芳崖・橋本雅邦に学ぶ。卒業後同校助教授となった後、日本美術院創立に参加し、横山大観・菱田春草と共に活躍、またその再興にも尽力する。大正6年帝室技芸員。やまと絵、琳派、宋元画の手法を究めた。昭和5年（1930）歿、58歳。
