- 略歴
江戸後期の文人画家。備前生。名は孝弼、字は君輔、玉堂は号、通称兵右衛門。春琴は子。岡山藩に仕える。若年より詩文に親しみ、のち脱藩、琴を携えて子とともに遊歴、田能村竹田・木村蒹葭堂・谷文晁・岡田米山人ら当代の文人たちと交わる。晩年は京都に定住。気韻あふれる自由奔放な山水を描く。文政3年（1820）歿、76歳。
